12 Twigs Issues

Place for 12 Twigs

In class we discussed many issues that were seen throughout everyone’s projects. The main points were contrasting, defining strategy, focus and variety reduction. As a whole class we all need to work on crafting. There are many attempts until we actually get to the final object. Overall we all need to work on putting things together and not making the edges look rigid. Another factor is Variety reduction. One of the projects had many things that caught people’s eyes. So what you had to do was decide between layers and colors. In Focusing, we should focus on the first project and on one thing rather than trying to make many things stand out on our project.
My project had many changes. Instead of just placing the twigs on the base Tommy Lambeth suggested that I make multiple disk and place the twigs within the other circle bases. One of the mayor problems was the fact that my bases were made out of thin paper so the twigs that were placed inside to resemble the outside shape made the paper curve in which gives it a bad look if you are looking at it from the top. Also instead of having the paper hold the structure up I should use the twigs to hold them up. Making it more abstract looking and keeping the paper white so that the twigs will stand out.
